The open mic takes place at Lulu’s Upstairs - 107 Manitou Avenue, Manitou Springs, CO 80829. (map)

Open mic sets are between 3-5 minutes long.

The list of performers will be posted outside of the showroom at 8:30pm. A copy of this list will be shared on social media.

Many things are considered during the curation of the list, including:

Out of Town Status - we take your willingness to travel very seriously and will do our best to get you up if you are visiting from another city.

Performance Quality - because our audience members are expecting a show, we do prioritize comedians who have proven to be consistently funny.

There is no way to entirely guarantee a spot on the list. However, you will likely get up if:

-Your performances are consistently funny.

-You have already been “cut” several weeks in a row.

-You have indicated that you are visiting from out of town.

-You have brought a large number of audience member who would like to see you perform.

We are a safe space for creative expression, NOT a sanctuary for hate speech. If your creative expression involves racist, sexist, homophobic, transphobic, or demeaning comments that do not contribute to an overall positive message or undeniable punchline, the microphone will be cut and you will be encouraged to take your “comedy” somewhere else.
